Innovative bell button with reliable precious metal switching
contacts and time-saving wiring technology for installation in
door stations or for industrial use
 Product features
 • Maximum reliability due to corrosion-free switching contacts
with a silver alloy incl. gold-plating
 • Optimum switching behaviour due to tactile feedback and
 precise button guidance in collar
 • Very low bounce times due to optimum switching contacts
snap effect; ideal for BUS intercom systems
 • Short installation time due to screwless special terminals;
 ideally suitable for through-wiring
 • Suitable for plate thicknesses up to 6 mm despite extremely
 compact design
 • Noble look due to high-quality materials and surfaces
 Installation
 • Plate hole 16 mm (replacement-compatible with predecessor
models MKO/KKO), plate thickness 0.5 mm to 6.0 mm
 • Installation depth 13 mm minus plate thickness
(e.g. for 2 mm plate thickness, 11 mm installation depth)
 • Time-saving fitting without tools thanks to easy-to-grip
 knurled nut
 Technical data
 • Max. 24V=/~ (1.5A); min. 5V (1mA)
 • Voltage drop in new condition 0.1V; contact resistance 0.1Ohm
 • Insulation resistance: Min. 100 MOhm
 • Bounce time < 20 ms
 • Suitable for rigid wires with diameter 0.6 mm to 0.8 mm
 • Actuating force approx. 6 Newton
 • Contact travel 0.8 mm / Total actuating travel 1.2 mm
 • -20°C to +60°C
 • IP 54 (when installed, vertical plate)
 • Protection against vandalism through compressive force
limitation (withstands min. 100 N actuating force)
 • Materials: switching contacts made of chrome-nickel steel
with silver alloy and gold-plating; housing made of glassfibre
reinforced ABS for optimum stability; special terminals
 made of tin-plated chrome-nickel steel; for button/button
 collar, see ordering overview
 • Installation position: any (see note at "IP54")
 • Min.service life at 12V~ / 0.75A (standard bell system)
approx. 100,000 cycles (note: tactile switching behaviour
up to approx. 30,000 cycles, thereafter constant switching
behaviour until the mechanical service life of 250,000 cycles,
corresponds to a service life of 8 years when actuated
 10 times daily).
 Note
 • At higher currents the gold surface of the switching contacts
disintegrates for physical reasons. This is not indicative of
poor quality, rather just means that the bell button can subsequently
no longer be used for small currents in the mA range.
