Function
• With the TM 345 EP devices, a power outage can be simulated, which should be conducted with emergency luminaries with single battery at regular intervals to test the faultless function.
• With each of these devices (depending on the size of the installation) a power outage lasting 5 min, 1 h, 2 h or 3 h can be easily simulated.
• Due to the 5-minute follow-on function it is possible to also check the function of the emergency luminaries that cannot be directly seen from the installation site of the test device.
• The yearly service life test (1–3 h) can be carried out by repeatedly pressing the key.
• Regular continuous testing also has the advantage that the life cycle of the emergency luminaries’ stand-by source of current is increased (preserving the accumulator capacity by avoiding the memory effect).
• The TM 345 EP device is installed in the supply mains in front of the emergency luminaries with single battery system, with the switching contact ¾ closed and the emergency luminaries at the mains.
